Built by a Developer Who Has Run a Jewellery Business

JewelIntake was created by Arda Kara of ardakara .NET. Arda develops business software and previously operated the jewellery business Fidda & Katina. That combination shaped a product around a familiar counter task: taking responsibility for a customer’s item and recording what was agreed.

A repair starts with a conversation

The piece may have sentimental value far beyond its repair price. At drop-off, the jeweller needs to understand the request, describe the item and note its condition. By collection, that record also needs to explain the work, payments and final handover.

Handwritten envelopes, separate photographs and payment notes make it harder to follow that history. JewelIntake gives the repair its own record, with the details needed for both the workshop and the customer receipt.

Deliberately focused on the repair counter

The aim is to make repair intake and collection easier to manage for independent jewellers, goldsmiths and watch repairers. Your POS can continue handling retail sales, while JewelIntake records what came in for repair and what happened before it went home.

The app runs on Android and is currently available in Australia through Google Play. Working records stay on the device. There is no hosted JewelIntake business account or multi-device synchronisation.
